Have you ever forgotten a password?
I didn't know my email password, but that wasn't a problem because my computer remembers it for me. However, the other day, my cousin came to my house, and he wanted to check his email, so he logged out. When I realized what he had just done, I tried to remember my password but I couldn't.
I was very angry with him at first, but then I calmed down because it wasn't his fault, he didn't know that I didn't know my password. He asked me "Why don't you put the same password everywhere?".
The truth is that I have the same password everywhere except my email, because last year someone was sending emails pretending to be me, so I changed my password and I put a really difficult password, so difficult that I couldn't remember it. I know, I'm stupid :)
So I tried to change my password, because I couldn't remember the answer to my security question. I have had the same email address for so many years, that I don't know what I answered when I was twelve or something like this. Then, I entered a place where they asked me a lot of question, like "what's your name?". Then they sent an email to another email address that I had given them saying that they didn't have enough information to know if it was me the one that wanted to change the password.
At the end, I created a new email address. The problem is that now I don't have the emails of my friends!!

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

"The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" is a book written by John Boyne. It is a children's historical book, which was published in 2006. The main characters of this book are Bruno, a nine-year-old german boy and his new friend Shmuel, another nine-year-old boy who is jewish.
Bruno lives with his parents and his twelve-year-old sister Gretel in a big house in Berlin. After a visit from Hitler, his father is promoted to Kommandant, and they have to go to live to a place called "Out-With". There, he is really homesick and he doesn't know what to do and he starts exploring the surroundings of the house. One day he meets a boy, Shmuel, behind a fence, and they become friends. This friendship changes Bruno, who wants to know what it is like to live behind the fence.
This book is a really emotive book, which makes you realize how hard it was to live in that situation, and you can find yourself crying while reading the end.
I would recommend this book to everybody, but be aware that it is a sad book. I recommend reading it in original version, because before I read it in English I had read it in Catalan and it is a horrible translation.

White week

Me standing next to the Guadalquivir river

This week it was white week in Vic. This year is the first and the last year that we are going to have white week. It was a week to relax, to travel and to have fun. I went to Seville with my mum, my dad stayed at home because he hadn’t holidays. We left Sunday morning from Reus, but we couldn’t land in Seville because of the fog, so we had to go to Malaga. Once we were in Malaga twelve buses came to ride us to Seville. It was a mess, everybody wanted to go first, and because of that it was slower. It took two hours and a half to arrive in Seville, and the bus let us in the airport, so we had to take a taxi to arrive in the centre of the city. We had to have breakfast in Seville but when we arrived it was time to lunch.  Seville is a beautiful city, and there are a lot of things to visit. The best thing about Seville is that there isn’t as cold as Vic, and the sun was shining all the day. I really liked the parks they have there, they are bigger than Barcelona’s. I liked the food too.
We came back on Friday morning.
Yesterday, I went to Torelló with my friends to celebrate the Carnival. We were dressed as bees, and we really had a good time!

Are you happy with your body?

Lately, a lot of people want to change their body because they want to look like the people they see in magazines and films. The number of young people who have plastic surgery is increasing. Spain is the number one in Europe in plastic surgery, and the forth in the world following USA, Mexico and Argentina.

Most of the people who have plastic surgery are women, but every day more men want to change their body. In Spain, nine out of ten people who have plastic surgery are women, but in England men now make up almost 40% of all surgeries performed.
Because of the crisis that the world is suffering now, the number of plastic surgeries has decreased almost 30%. The most expensive plastic surgery is body surgery. For example breast enlargement costs about 1500 euros.
The most common plastic surgery among women is tummy tuck, followed by breast enlargement and eyelid surgery. Rhinoplasty is also very popular. Liposuction is the most popular among men, followed by hair implants and breast reduction.
A lot of people think that being beautiful helps them to be successful in life. This is what Cindy Jackson thinks who has spent more than £60,000 in plastic surgery. She started having her eyes widened, and now she doesn’t seem the same person. She says she has a genius IQ but she was invisible. Now that she is pretty she gets lots of attention.
Some months ago, a 15-year-old girl was in the news saying that her parents would pay her a breast enlargement for her 16th birthday.
I think that being happy with your body helps you being happier in life, and I think people can do whatever they want to their body if it makes them happy. However, I think that having breast enlargement at 15 is a bit exaggerated. Girls at this age aren’t fully grown and I think they should wait until they are older.

What do you think about that? Would you change any part of your body?

facebook and exams

Today I'm going to talk about what I think about facebook, and how it changes my life. This week we are doing exams in school and facebook is a distraction for me. It is for this reason that I have decided to talk about it.
Facebook is a social network, where people can write comments, upload photos, and be in touch with people who are in other parts of the world, but it is also a way to waste time.
I'm not an active person on facebook. There are some people who put "I like" everywhere, and they comment everybody's status. For me, doing this is difficult because before publishing something I have to read it hundreds of times and sometimes I end deleting it. I check if I have something on facebook every day because I'm used to doing it when I turn on my computer and I usually spend too much time reading what other people write. What I think is most useful about facebook, is the fact that you can upload a lot of photos in a short time, and then all your friends can see them. I think it is good, because I always take a lot of photos, and my friends want to see them, and if I had to send them by email, I would spend hours doing it! Another thing I like about facebook is that you can talk with people who are really far from where you are. Sometimes I use facebook to talk with the americans I stayed with last summer. Furthermore, facebook is useful too to have conversations with some of your friends at the same time. Last week it was Aina's birthday, and with my friends we planned her a party using a multiple conversation and she didn't suspect anything. It would have been more difficult if we had had to talk when she wasn't around.
But now, I'm going to talk about the things I don't like about facebook. The main thing I don't like about it is that you waste a lot of time visiting it when you should be studying. Now, for example, I should be studying for my English exam (which is tomorrow), and I'm writing this and reading stupid things on facebook... The other thing I don't like about facebook is that people can gossip more than they used to do some years ago, because they can see what people say to each other, where they go, who they are going out with, etc.
To finish my post, I have to say that facebook shouldn't exist during the exam week! :)

Last summer

Last summer I went to USA to stay with a family for five weeks.
I stayed with a family called Atkielski. They are four members. A couple, Alan and Sandy, their daughter, Samantha and Alan's mother. They have a dog and two cats. They live in a little village called Pleasant Prairie, between Wisconsin and Illinois. It was funny, because every day I was in two different states. Alan loves to go fishing, so I hardly ever saw him during the month I was there. He woke up every day at 4 a.m or earlier, and he was sleeping at 5 p.m. The grandmother was all the day watching TV, so I went everywhere with Sam and Sandy. Sam is a twirler, and she and her team are world champions. During the month I was there, they had a national tournament in Indiana, and I went there with them. I saw enough twirling for all my life!!
In the way to Indiana we stopped in Michigan for a weekend. In this area there are a lot of lakes, and we played water sports. It was amazing!
4 days before I left, they showed me Chicago. I loved it. Chicago has huge buildings, and everything looks new.
Here you have a photo of Sam, Sandy and me in Willis tower, the tallest building in Chicago.

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows

Have you seen the new Harry Potter film?
Harry Potter fans have been waiting it for months, and they can finally watch it since last friday.
This film is the first part of the last Harry Potter book, titled Harry Potter and the deathly hallows.
Harry is now seventeen, and he doesn't want to go back to Hogwarts school because he wants to finish the job Dumbledore started. He wants to destroy the horrocruxes Voldemort had made to become immortal. With the help of his friends, Ron and Hermione, Harry starts his journey.
The plot is interesting, there's action, love, and it's funny.
The acting is good, and the special effects are amazing.
To watch it in original version with subtitles you have to go to Barcelona, but it worth it.
I recommend it to everybody. I think it's the best Harry Potter film after the first one.
